A great example of this is for Routine Inspection tasks. Below I have 3 tasks with due dates only.
My routine inspection is due on the 21st Jan, however, I might need to schedule the inspection 7 days prior, so adding an Action Date will remind me.
This will re-order my Action Centre so I do not miss any actions required for each individual task or workflow.
The action date can be set before or after a due date for example if you need to follow up on an overdue task, it can remain overdue yet it will be pushed back in your action centre until the follow up date. '
