If a tenant is vacating, you can add a Termination (Vacate) Date by clicking Terminate Lease in the Lease tab. This will recalculate the last rental payment for you so the tenant cannot pay past their last day in the property. It will also create an Upcoming Lease section for you to add the next tenancy's details.

πŸ’‘ If you would like to automatically archive any future tasks for that lease, tick the box and the system will do it for you!

πŸ’‘ The system will also automatically calculate how much rent is owed till vacate and update this as the tenant pays into the system.

Completing a termination (previously known as Hard Termination)

You can now immediately complete a termination so that you can activate a new lease.

You will not need to wait until the future date comes to place.

Cancelling a termination

If you ever need to cancel a termination, you can click Cancel and the system will revert the lease to normal and reset payments to normal recurring amounts.

It's important to remember you cannot terminate a lease on a date that is before the current paid-to date.
